Knight of Swords

knightfinalmedcopyThe Knight of Swords is sometimes called the Lord of the Winds and the Breezes, and King of the Spirits of Air. His affinity is with the air signs of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

As with all Knights, this one represents movement, and since we have the Element of Air it is movement in the realm of thoughts, ideas, beliefs and messages.

Traditionally this card prepares you for some news, this can be around negotiations, contracts and can be surprising or unwelcome. There is a need to prepare yourself, make sure you have all the facts and not be caught out without all bases covered.

There may be someone around you now that wants to trip you up and will use reason and logic in order to do it - this is the card of the Animus who uses their cutting words and thoughts to make you doubt yourself.

If you have done your homework and are prepared, then the Knight of Swords can mean you need to get ready to move forward, as the news you receive will be something you have been waiting for, but you will need to be quick.

There are no delays tolerated with this card's influence. As a person the Knight of Swords is quick-witted, charming, clever and sometimes cruel, or it may be he is merely thoughtless.

He has no time or inclination to get mired in emotions, or attached to things or people, and he needs to be forever stimulated mentally in order to be at his best. If he becomes petty-minded or impatient, then it means he is not sufficiently engaged in his current environment and will need to move on and shake things up perhaps.

As a lover he will sweep you off your feet in a whirlwind of pretty words and exciting gestures. When the dust clears however, he may be hard to find so you need to have the energy, enthusiasm and love of change that he does in order to keep this one.
