This card is the Lord of Unstable Effort and is aligned with the energy of Moon in Aquarius. It represents discouragement, fears, doubts and hidden motives.
The Moon rules those things that are hidden from plain sight, as well as unconscious forces that direct our actions without our awareness. Aquarius is rather detached and logical, and is not well placed with the Moon's energy - it brings hidden agendas, a cold calculative-ness to situations where the emotions would normally be appealed to.
What you come across under the influence of this card is confusion around situations where you need to take action, a feeling of mistrust when trust is required to make progress and a lack of energy to make better decisions or take better actions.
There is also a fear of success which creates situations where you may unconsciously set up failure instead, since failures can be dealt with but success may not last. There is an element of frustration with your communications with others and it is tempting to take the easy road where effort is not so taxing and uncertain.
It is well to remember that the influence of this card can last seven weeks, so caution must be your guide during this period.
Traditionally the Seven of Swords warns of theft, deception and illicit dealings. No contracts should be signed without due diligence and people should not be taken at face value when a lot is at stake. It is best to take indirect action if action must be taken at this time.
Perhaps a lie has to be told to avert an even worse situation which the truth would bring about, and this can leave you with an uncomfortable feeling.
It is a good time to examine your beliefs that limit you and find out instead what beliefs you could adopt that will serve your future plans and values?
