Known also as the Ruler of Flux and Reflux, and the Child of the Sons of the Mighty, the card of The Moon is ruled by Pisces and represents the deep unconscious forces that shape our lives, seemingly without our knowledge and understanding. Pisces represents the great ocean of human consciousness, which contains all experiences ever felt and all knowledge that was ever gathered. It is time to acknowledge the cycles of your life and acknowledge that not everything is predictable and safe. There are forces in all of our lives which direct us willy-nilly, or so it seems. We cannot discern the order, and so the result may be confusion and fear. This will occur if you are determined to cling to your life as you knew it, when really you are being called into a new phase of growth that, as with all such phases, comes with its awkwardness and growing pains. You need to stick with it and trust that you are heading to a deeper understanding and knowledge, almost a trial by fire since when you emerge you will have been changed from the personality that you previously identified with. The card of the Moon often is depicted with two pillars, the dark and the light, and this symbolises the path between good and evil, that you must walk while finding the balance between. There is a mystery here, and that is that you cannot have all good or all bad, all dark or all light. There is a balance to be found, and rather than focus on the polarity of the opposites, it is your task to find the middle way without judgement. We can always, if we're honest, find aspects of both sides in our lives, and when we are able to do this, we have found the road to wholeness. Now is the time to face your blind spots, and seek to come to a balanced understanding of the path that you have been resisting, but which is important to your growth.
