The Sun – XIX

One of my favourite cards in the Tarot Deck, and known also as Lord of the Fire of the World and ruled astrologically by The Sun, the Sun card represents the radiating of joy and finding your delight in life. The Sun is the Center, the Eye of the Day that brings clarity, light and life to all. This card is such a positive sign and brings consciousness and the erasing of all doubt and shadowy feelings - time to stand up for what you want. You feel such clarity and purpose about where you are heading that you will attract the right people and circumstances that will be attracted to the confidence and fire that you are radiating now. The Sun s the ultimate symbol of individuality, what is unique about you and the gifts that you bring to the world. These gifts will become evident to you and you will come into these gifts over the next 19 months. It is a call to honour yourself and your light that shines and lights the way for others. Giving yourself permission to be who you are inspires others to do the same. It is a time to fulfill your wishes, so you must give yourself up to discovering and honouring what you truly wish for yourself. If you have remnants of beliefs that other's wishes are more important to you then it is now time to let go of these as they will not serve you in the long term. Now is your time to shine and show the world who you are and honour your essence and your...

Judgement – XX

The Judgement card is also the Spirit of the Primal Fire and ruled by the Element Fire. It represents cleansing, transformation and the truth of a spiritual awakening. This card is a call to view life and circumstances from a higher plane, especially when there is a tendency to be caught up in the mundane details of day to day problems and concerns. It is time to look at the big plan – what direction is your life heading, what are your highest goals and aspirations and is the way you are living your life today in line with what is ultimately most important to you. This is often called the karma card, and what you have been sowing by your words and actions is directly related to future rewards. There is an opportunity to finally let go of the past and those events and ensuing beliefs that have caused fear and blocks to your potential happiness and fulfilment. There is a sense of finally understanding what it means to embrace life and all that it means to live life fully. The critical point here is that you have a choice to embrace a different future if you want it, but there is also the option of refusing the call to that change and what that might mean. People are generally creatures of habit and will not seek change unless there has been some significant event or reason to do so, we like our comforts, our rituals and our safe places and routines. By choosing to stay where you are can mean that you are in danger of stagnating...

The card of the Judgement is sometimes referred to as The Aeon and the Spirit of the Primal Fire. It is aligned with the Element of Fire and represents spiritual renewal, blessings and guidance, as well as receiving a just outcome for your efforts. It brings the realisation that all actions have consequences for good and for ill.  It is a card of Karma or of reaping what you sow. It also represents communication with the higher aspects of your being, your Higher Self, Holy Spirit or whatever you may call that internal guidance system that loves you and always guides you. It is a call to view the big picture and not get bogged down in the petty concerns and minutiae of day to day existence. There is much more going on in your life's plan than you are currently aware of and sometimes it is a good thing to remember this and not focus too closely on every little event of the day while keeping score of whether it is good or bad. Sometimes what we judge as bad in the moment is not so, the same as when we think something is fabulous it may turn out to be not so great in the long term. And so the call with Judgement is to learn to take a longer view of life and circumstances, and free yourself from evaluations and giving everything that happens a specific meaning for you cannot know the bigger picture and plan that your Soul has in place for you. By doing this you connect to a deeper purpose, find much more peace...

Known also as the  Spirit of the Primal Fire, ruled by the Element of Fire and by Pluto, the card of Judgement represents discernment, transformation and renewal. Sometimes we feel that our life has hit a brick wall, that we have done everything that we are going to do and that one day starts to look pretty much like the next. We have made all our mistakes, we have scored our little victories and we have designed our life so that we have our little comforts and we no longer have to worry about any surprises turning up that we perhaps wouldn't like to deal with. And then we get the card of Judgement, which is like a breath of fresh air. There is a blossoming of enthusiasm, an injection of the life force that reminds us why we are here. That is what is happening with you, if not now then soon. The card of Judgement is presided over by the ArchAngel Michael who is a warrior messenger from the Divine Source. He represents the unseen powers in the spiritual world, and has links to Mercury and Hermes Trismegistus who is said to have brought the ancient wisdom from the time of Moses via his writing on alchemy, astrology and magic symbolism and that survives today. Alchemy and magic on a mundane level, are about improving the conditions of our daily life and to alleviate our struggles, which is why they have such an enduring interest and fascination. When the card of Judgement turns up for you, it tells you it is time to put to rest all...

The World – XXI

The card of The World is also called The Great One of the Night of Time and is ruled by Saturn. It represents culmination of a major cycle, the realisation of an aspect of wholeness and the beginning of a new journey. Saturn is the Lord of Time, and is often seen as a very serious and even forlorn figure in astrology and mythology. The truth is, that Saturn gives one the opportunity to find freedom through accepting responsibility for oneself - there is immense joy and expansion that can be experienced once you discover this for yourself. When The World appears in a reading for you, it is time to celebrate the completion of a major cycle in your life - a cycle of learning and travelling from a state of innocence to experience. This is a cycle because there is always something new to learn and a new journey upon which  to embark. When we master one skill, if we do not then continue our journey of growth, then like all organisms in nature, we atrophy and eventually perish. Major accomplishments are signified by this card, and yet there is some sadness attending your achievements, because it means saying farewell to a successful phase and then turning your face to the future and the uncertainty inherent in facing new, but no less worthwhile challenges. Relationships may be renewed under the influence of The World, and with this renewal brings a deepening understanding and maturity that is different but no less enjoyable. Travel is also prominent with this card, as it brings the wider world to your doorstep, and...
