The Sun is known also as the Lord of the Fire of the World and ruled by The Sun. It represents creativity, child-like joy and the essence of life itself. Astrologically, The Sun represents the ego, one's individuality and the core of your being. It is a symbol of the Self, which is the Soul and true essence. So often this aspect of ourselves is muted and hidden, for many reasons, not least of all that we feel it is not safe to be ourselves. So often, we hide our light when others disapprove because they feel it makes them less. We live in a competitive world and we need to stand up for ourselves and our rights - we have a right to be happy as much as anyone else. So this card shows up now to urge you to give yourself up to the dance, to allow your inner light to shine and to allow yourself to be all of who you are, without fear of reprisal or judgement. You were born to shine, and The Sun turns up now just for you to remind you of this fact. The Sun is the creative force that brings forth life, and also shines on our endeavours and brings success where you most hope for success. There is warmth, energy and good feeling where your work, relationships and social life are concerned. Pleasure and contentment and a willingness to enjoy life are highlighted for you now. This card heralds a time where you rejoin the world after a period of withdrawal or sadness, and it a natural upswing of energy...

One of my favourite cards in the Tarot Deck, and known also as Lord of the Fire of the World and ruled astrologically by The Sun, the Sun card represents the radiating of joy and finding your delight in life. The Sun is the Center, the Eye of the Day that brings clarity, light and life to all. This card is such a positive sign and brings consciousness and the erasing of all doubt and shadowy feelings - time to stand up for what you want. You feel such clarity and purpose about where you are heading that you will attract the right people and circumstances that will be attracted to the confidence and fire that you are radiating now. The Sun s the ultimate symbol of individuality, what is unique about you and the gifts that you bring to the world. These gifts will become evident to you and you will come into these gifts over the next 19 months. It is a call to honour yourself and your light that shines and lights the way for others. Giving yourself permission to be who you are inspires others to do the same. It is a time to fulfill your wishes, so you must give yourself up to discovering and honouring what you truly wish for yourself. If you have remnants of beliefs that other's wishes are more important to you then it is now time to let go of these as they will not serve you in the long term. Now is your time to shine and show the world who you are and honour your essence and your...

The card of the Judgement is sometimes referred to as The Aeon and the Spirit of the Primal Fire. It is aligned with the Element of Fire and represents spiritual renewal, blessings and guidance, as well as receiving a just outcome for your efforts. It brings the realisation that all actions have consequences for good and for ill. It is a card of Karma or of reaping what you sow. It also represents communication with the higher aspects of your being, your Higher Self, Holy Spirit or whatever you may call that internal guidance system that loves you and always guides you. It is a call to view the big picture and not get bogged down in the petty concerns and minutiae of day to day existence. There is much more going on in your life's plan than you are currently aware of and sometimes it is a good thing to remember this and not focus too closely on every little event of the day while keeping score of whether it is good or bad. Sometimes what we judge as bad in the moment is not so, the same as when we think something is fabulous it may turn out to be not so great in the long term. And so the call with Judgement is to learn to take a longer view of life and circumstances, and free yourself from evaluations and giving everything that happens a specific meaning for you cannot know the bigger picture and plan that your Soul has in place for you. By doing this you connect to a deeper purpose, find much more peace...

Known also as the Spirit of the Primal Fire, ruled by the Element of Fire and by Pluto, the card of Judgement represents discernment, transformation and renewal. Sometimes we feel that our life has hit a brick wall, that we have done everything that we are going to do and that one day starts to look pretty much like the next. We have made all our mistakes, we have scored our little victories and we have designed our life so that we have our little comforts and we no longer have to worry about any surprises turning up that we perhaps wouldn't like to deal with. And then we get the card of Judgement, which is like a breath of fresh air. There is a blossoming of enthusiasm, an injection of the life force that reminds us why we are here. That is what is happening with you, if not now then soon. The card of Judgement is presided over by the ArchAngel Michael who is a warrior messenger from the Divine Source. He represents the unseen powers in the spiritual world, and has links to Mercury and Hermes Trismegistus who is said to have brought the ancient wisdom from the time of Moses via his writing on alchemy, astrology and magic symbolism and that survives today. Alchemy and magic on a mundane level, are about improving the conditions of our daily life and to alleviate our struggles, which is why they have such an enduring interest and fascination. When the card of Judgement turns up for you, it tells you it is time to put to rest all...

The card of The World is also called The Great One of the Night of Time and is ruled by Saturn. It represents culmination of a major cycle, the realisation of an aspect of wholeness and the beginning of a new journey. Saturn is the Lord of Time, and is often seen as a very serious and even forlorn figure in astrology and mythology. The truth is, that Saturn gives one the opportunity to find freedom through accepting responsibility for oneself - there is immense joy and expansion that can be experienced once you discover this for yourself. When The World appears in a reading for you, it is time to celebrate the completion of a major cycle in your life - a cycle of learning and travelling from a state of innocence to experience. This is a cycle because there is always something new to learn and a new journey upon which to embark. When we master one skill, if we do not then continue our journey of growth, then like all organisms in nature, we atrophy and eventually perish. Major accomplishments are signified by this card, and yet there is some sadness attending your achievements, because it means saying farewell to a successful phase and then turning your face to the future and the uncertainty inherent in facing new, but no less worthwhile challenges. Relationships may be renewed under the influence of The World, and with this renewal brings a deepening understanding and maturity that is different but no less enjoyable. Travel is also prominent with this card, as it brings the wider world to your doorstep, and...

Known also as The Great One of the Night of Time, and ruled by Saturn, the card of The World represents the completion of a major cycle in one's life bringing success and fulfillment. Often accompanied by synchronicities, or a feeling that you are in the right place and at the right time - so that favourable circumstances converge to affirm that you efforts have been rewarded. Having reached completion in one phase of your life, you are now ready to move on and begin to conquer the next. Farewells must be said, not without regrets, but also with a sense that new possibilities are presenting themselves and you are ready to meet them. Often there is a ritual to honour when this card represents the completion of a phase - we so love our rituals and symbols and they are helpful to the psyche in terms of letting go of what has been comforting and familiar. Never complete a major phase in your life without marking its significance to you. It helps with the inevitable feelings of loss that come with endings, even when these endings represent something new that we move joyously towards. Often this card will herald a journey that marks out a new phase in life - it is moving away from the comfort zone that has been created from the old cycle and brings an unmistakable difference to your environment and an urge towards excitement of the unknown as well as possibilities for future growth. When The World turns up for you in a reading, you can be sure that your world is about to...
