The Page of Swords is today's card - it is also referred to as the Princess of the Rushing Winds and Lotus of the Palace of Air. It represents a renewal of mental and intellectual clarity, new ideas and information that have the capacity to bring dramatic change. The Pages in the Tarot bring news, they are the messengers of the cards. Since Swords represent the mental realm, then the appearance of this page heralds new thought and lots of movement and change based on changing ideas, and a Zeitgeist that foretells a coming significant change to one's life. It can also mean news received via mail or email that brings something surprising to your door. You may find that words and attitudes of others may bring a breath of fresh air to your experience, or be confronting to you if you are set in your ways. You also may feel yourself reacting to situations that occur in your life now with childlike candor or childlike belligerence. Children have an uncanny ability to tell it like it is, not having the 'maturity' to be socially correct in their opinions and speech. So you may find yourself the herald or the recipient of the unvarnished truth - this has the ability to set you free if you let it. On a mundane level, this card can represent gossip and spiteful talk that has the capacity to cause surface trouble in your life. But generally he is bringing news that may be welcome or unwelcome, but will be extremely important in your actions in the coming days and weeks. Since the Pages often...

Known also as Princess of the Rushing Winds and Lotus of the Palace of Air, the Page of Swords brings new beginnings and the release of fears that have been holding you back. Pages often represent messages so expect news in the form of letters, emails, phone calls that tell of changes afoot. These changes are going to bring a whirlwind of activity so be prepared. Be wary of gossip, which is the lower manifestation of the energy of this card - being a Page, there is an immature or undeveloped quality to this card and if you are not on the lookout, you may get drawn in. This card also represents the flexing of the mind muscle, the use of the intellect and the pitfalls and benefits of independent thought. You may be venturing into an intellectual arena that may be unfamiliar, and therefore it feels strange and uncomfortable. But you need not worry - the speed of air will see you catching up in no time and you will be able to hold your own in any debate. Fears that once held you back are now dissolved and you feel a passion and a thirst for knowledge - don't they say that knowledge is power? You are willing to embrace new ideas and have the capacity to take on many new beliefs. Communications of all sorts are signified by this card - friendships, connections, negotiations are all held under its umbrella. A bright and precocious child may be important to you in some way now, as the Page can often be experienced as such a gifted prodigy. You are...

The Page of Pentacles is also known as the Princess of the Echoing Hills and Rose of the Palace of Earth. It represents the early energy of manifestation, waiting and gestation of material results. Pages bring new energy into the Suit they are placed in, and with this one this would indicate the energy of substance, tangible results, finances, property and growth. So this card may point to a new budget you are setting up, early gains in an investment or small windfalls that could be saved to grow into something bigger. Things brings enthusiasm and excitement into your life when you realise that the accumulation and appreciation of life's comforts is its own reward. This card invites you to get comfortable with your finances and your ability to grow your resources. This may be a new idea, or else you will find a new way to increase your material assets. Pages bring messages and experiences from outside to your door, and their purpose is to initiate you into a new phase and new way of dealing with your world. One side of this card is that you will receive news of a modest windfall that will delight you - the other side of this is that you may fritter money away in a childish way, without giving it a chance to mature and grow. While the Page of Pentacles can indicate money coming to you, it is yet a new and delicate thing and a need to balance your material resources must still be catered to. And of course the Page of Pentacles can also indicate a young person -...

The Knight of Wands is known as Lord of the Flame and Lightning and King of the Spirits of Fire. He represents fiery enthusiasm, impatience and dynamic change. The Knight of Wands is the essence of Fire making its way in the world. How does the Element of Fire make its presence felt? It is boldly, brashly, bravely and sometimes in a foolhardy way. As with all the Knights, this one brings movement, and traditionally he represents a change of residence, although he can also bring a change in career or travel. When this Knight turns up as a person, he is ambitious, adventurous, exciting and will turn your life upside down, especially if you have been living in a measured and safe way. He may be a young man or an older man who hasn't quite grown up. He can be extremely unreliable and foolhardy and be inclined to action without thought for the consequences. One thing is for certain, and that is that you will not find him dull and you will never be bored with the energy accompanying his entrance. He can make promises that he is unable or unwilling to keep - I guess he has a short attention span and is always moving towards the next horizon to be conquered. He can also herald a time in your life where you need to take risks, leave the comfort of your safe harbour behind you and strike out on your own adventure. Where in your life have you been stifled and stuck in a rut? This Knight will show you the vastness and excitement of new horizons...

The Knight of Pentacles is the Lord of the Wild and Fertile Land and King of the Spirits of Earth. He brings in the Earth energies found in the astrological signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn and represents material progress, sense orientation and productivity. The Knight of Pentacles is the only Knight usually depicted in the Tarot as not in motion - he is more slow moving and steady than the other Knights, neither headstrong or flighty, but cautious, sensible and reliable. He may be a little dull to those who are looking for excitement and variety, but ultimately he is someone who can be trusted to be there for the long haul. The Knights of the Tarot bring movement towards one's desires, and there is always something coming your way when you see them in a reading. Its just that the change that is coming with the Knight of Pentacles is practical, useful and not at all what one would associate with adventure, as with the other Knights. There is also an indication when this Knight appears to look after matters of health. It is your opportunity to make a positive change where your health is concerned, and it means you need to take action towards healing and recovery. The Knight of Pentacles asks you to look at where you need to face responsibilities in your life, where you need to be dependable, reliable and true to your word. The long term effects of decisions you make now may not be apparent, and yet they will make themselves known in time so it is advisable to keep your future happiness...
