Known also as Lord of the Flame and Lightning and King of the Spirits of Fire, the Knight of Wands represents the joy of life and creative power. The Knight of Wands brings swift action, sudden news and travel, even a change of residence. He represents the urge to experience new places, faces, activities. He likes to start new projects and is full of the energy of enthusiasm and an urge to keep moving. His energy is wonderful when you need to create change and mix things up, however he is not known for stability or staying power. There may be a somewhat rushed and over-eager impulse to change something in your life, and if heeded, may lead to regrets if you haven't examined the pros and cons of such a change. You may find an opportunity that seems too good to be true, so don't rush into it without doing your due diligence and even seeking advice from someone who has knowledge in these areas. So when this Knight turns up, it is best to harness the exuberant energy and vitality that he brings, especially if there is travel, a move or a new direction you are wanting to take - he will help you get there. It may be that he turns up as an individual in your life which will spur you into action and lead you where he goes. Or the energy of this Knight may be experienced as an inner change, a sudden impulse to move and switch things up. Overall, this is a time to embrace life, breathe in opportunity and expand your...

The Knight of Wands is known as Lord of the Flame and Lightning and King of the Spirits of Fire. He represents fiery enthusiasm, impatience and dynamic change. The Knight of Wands is the essence of Fire making its way in the world. How does the Element of Fire make its presence felt? It is boldly, brashly, bravely and sometimes in a foolhardy way. As with all the Knights, this one brings movement, and traditionally he represents a change of residence, although he can also bring a change in career or travel. When this Knight turns up as a person, he is ambitious, adventurous, exciting and will turn your life upside down, especially if you have been living in a measured and safe way. He may be a young man or an older man who hasn't quite grown up. He can be extremely unreliable and foolhardy and be inclined to action without thought for the consequences. One thing is for certain, and that is that you will not find him dull and you will never be bored with the energy accompanying his entrance. He can make promises that he is unable or unwilling to keep - I guess he has a short attention span and is always moving towards the next horizon to be conquered. He can also herald a time in your life where you need to take risks, leave the comfort of your safe harbour behind you and strike out on your own adventure. Where in your life have you been stifled and stuck in a rut? This Knight will show you the vastness and excitement of new horizons...

The Knight of Pentacles is the Lord of the Wild and Fertile Land and King of the Spirits of Earth. He brings in the Earth energies found in the astrological signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn and represents material progress, sense orientation and productivity. The Knight of Pentacles is the only Knight usually depicted in the Tarot as not in motion - he is more slow moving and steady than the other Knights, neither headstrong or flighty, but cautious, sensible and reliable. He may be a little dull to those who are looking for excitement and variety, but ultimately he is someone who can be trusted to be there for the long haul. The Knights of the Tarot bring movement towards one's desires, and there is always something coming your way when you see them in a reading. Its just that the change that is coming with the Knight of Pentacles is practical, useful and not at all what one would associate with adventure, as with the other Knights. There is also an indication when this Knight appears to look after matters of health. It is your opportunity to make a positive change where your health is concerned, and it means you need to take action towards healing and recovery. The Knight of Pentacles asks you to look at where you need to face responsibilities in your life, where you need to be dependable, reliable and true to your word. The long term effects of decisions you make now may not be apparent, and yet they will make themselves known in time so it is advisable to keep your future happiness...

The Knight of Pentacles is also referred to as the Lord of the Wild and Fertile Land and the King of the Spirits of Earth and represents steadiness, masculine sensuality and honesty. He is stoical, steady and slow to action but is very grounded and practical. Knights are about movement and progress and while the Knight of Pentacles appears to be not moving as quickly as the other Suits, move he does. This means that he is more considered and deliberate in the movements that he brings to you, so any movement is well-considered and therefore more successful and long-standing. As person he is ambitious, thoughtful and patient and leans towards the conservative. He knows that anything worth doing is worth doing properly and so will take his time about any enterprise he sets his sights on. He may be considered somewhat dull compared to the fiery Knight of Wands or the flashy Knight of Swords, but he is in it for the long haul and his quiet exterior hides a smouldering passionate nature that has much stamina. On an abstract level he represents goals, plans and practical actions that need to bring any dream into the physical realm. He also represents the body and health, and when he appears in a reading is a sign that one needs to pay particular attention to diet, exercise and healthy habits, particularly the reduction of stress. Since the Pentacles refer to the material realm he can also herald positive changes to one's investments and securities, and he always counsels caution in with money and other material resources. It is time to...

Known also as the Lord of the Wild and Fertile Land and King of the Spirits of Earth and represents steadiness, patience, diligence and protectiveness. The Knight of Pentacles is practical - he represents the physical actions that you must take to materialise your ideas. The suit of Pentacles is of Earth (matter) and the Knight brings Fire (action) to the equation. Without action on the material plane, ideas remain ideas and do not have the benefit of manifestation. As this Knight is of the Earth, he also can represent one's health, or physicality. Taking actions towards improving and maintaining one's health is important. Often the Knight of Pentacles is depicted as the only Knight whose horse is not in motion - but I have also seen many that are. Knights are always about movement, the Knight of Pentacles just moves more slowly and deliberately than the others. He is not driven by passion, emotion or ideas, but by creating a legacy that will withstand the test of time. He is not in a hurry, as perhaps are the other Knights/ When he comes up in a reading for you, he is here to tell you that it is time to put your considered plans into action, to take responsibility for building something that is designed to last a long time, and to take care and time to do it. He says that anything worth doing is worth doing well. The Knight can also appear in your life as a young man, studious, steady, serious, perhaps a little bit boring, but he is reliable and will not let you down. The...

Known also as the Lord of the Waves and the Water, the Knight of Cups represents desires, wishes and the seeds of transformation. So at the deepest level, the Knight of Cups represents dealing with one's emotional needs. The Knights always represent movement of some kind, and Cups ruling the emotional realm, there must be some change or progress in terms of emotional maturity. He represents the Knights of the Holy Grail, who searched across many lands and faced many unknown dangers to follow a spiritual ideal - this individual is someone who is idealistic, creative and sensitive. As a lover he is romantic, attentive and reflects back to you what you most desire - it is the blossoming of the potential of true love and it is intoxicating. Understanding emotions, learning how to master them and to not be governed and thrown hither and thither by them, is the lesson in this card. The energy of this Knight will bring you opportunities to learn more about your emotional responses in the world and how to control and use them for your benefit. Rather than be carried away by passion, which is the first impulse when this energy arises, this card seeks a gentler and more soulful expression of emotion - chiefly love and desire. Traditionally, this Knight may bring romantic offers, proposals, first dates - the Knight of Cups represents the chivalraic energy of poetic love, admiration and adulation from a distance and the romantic gesture, but it can also bring news of creative work offers and interesting opportunities to develop artistic talents. This card can also refer...
