Nine of Wands

Nine of Wands

The Nine of Wands is the Lord of Great Strength and is aligned with the energy of the Sun in Sagittarius.  It represents the light of consciousness, inner strength and banishing darkness. The Sun is the Life Force that drives our endeavours, recognises our value and success, while Sagittarius is always calling us to be more, do more, realise our full potential and stop holding ourselves as small and helpless, for we are so much more than that. This card brings achievement, success and recovery from circumstances that seemed to be getting the better of you.  And yet you still have access to further resources on which you have not drawn, so don't feel that there is not enough strength or energy to overcome any final obstacles that might arise. And so this card often signifies the moment when you might feel like giving up, but it need not be so. You do have abundant resources in store and just need to believe in yourself a little more, take a deep breath, and strive once more. You have every chance of succeeding. This card brings to light those areas of life that we have suppressed, but which, by acknowledging them, will set us free. What is unknown, or unacknowledged in ourselves is the cause of the most fear and suffering.  The Wands represent realisation, creativity that arises when we feel we are at the end of our rope and have nowhere to turn. Just let go and trust your own creative intelligence to provide answers for you. It will surprise you. This is a time when you will come...

This has not been a short journey, there have been many ups and downs, trials and tribulations as well as small successes. And just when it appeared that you were approaching the end you need to summon more strength, ability and enthusiasm to see it all done. It is important to remember your focus and what you are wanting to achieve, and not get distracted by side issues or feelings of frustration that things are taking longer than you anticipated. You need to draw on your courage and belief in yourself to see it through, and not be discouraged by what others would call failures or setbacks. You can't see it yet, but you are just about to make a break through and it would be a mistake to give up now. There may be a lingering uncertainty, even being so close to your goal, and this may stem from feelings of unworthiness, or worries about what could go wrong. The advice here...

Nine of Wands

Linked with Saturn in Sagittarius, the Nine of Wands is the card of strength used with caution. There is much optimism here, you can almost smell victory and this card advises you not to celebrate just yet, there is still a little uncertainty within you that need to be sorted. This card is also called "The Lord of Great Strength". You have not really come into the height of your abilities yet, nor accessed all the energy within that is available to you because you are afraid of what you might unleash or what acknowledging your power will mean. With power comes responsibility. There is a final hurdle to overcome before you reach your stated goal. And the devil is in the detail here, so now is not the time to relax and rest on your laurels. Remain vigilant, hunt for and draw on your reserves of energy and don't go for the easy option and victory will be yours. There is a saying "loose lips sink ships" and that applies here. Keep your own counsel, don't ask others who have their own agendas for advice as that will weaken your position. This is a time to trust your intuition and believe in yourself, even when others around you may be taking the easy road. You have the ability to access strengths that are emotional, spiritual and physical and you will need all three. This phase will last over the next nine weeks or so, so do everything you can to reserve your strength and fight the good fight, as it may feel that you are out of puff, and...
Ten of Wands

Ten of Wands

The Ten of Wands is sometimes referred to as the Lord of Oppression and  aligned with Saturn in Sagittarius. While Sagittarius wants freedom, expansion and possibilities, Saturn wants rules and safety and certainty which arises from fear. This is the card of carrying large burdens, having taken them on and perhaps underestimating the scope. The Ten in this Suit comes after victories have been achieved, accolades have been received, and yet the world is still asking more of you. It can represent a fear of success, for with success comes great responsibility and there is a question in your mind - can you sustain it? There is an exponential growth in what you feel you must take on to keep the momentum going and if you are not careful you may feel outweighed by responsibility. The Wands are cards of fire which is energy, and this card can indicate that your sources of renewing your energy have been overtaxed and are on the wane. You need to find ways to recycle your energy so that it is ever-renewing and not used up like some fossil fuel. There are important areas in your life where you are repressing your energy and your vitality. When you operate from a sense of fear or obligation, this increases stress and prolonged stress ultimately affects the health in a negative way. Our physiology is not built to carry the burden of continually stressful conditions, and something will give in the end unless you understand the importance of self-care. Find sources of energy in nature to rejuvenate your depleted stores - sunshine, rain-showers, waterfalls -...
